The Transom Knot

This is a good knot to tie two cross-sections in creating frames, shelters, and other structures. It is related to the Constrictor-Knot, but I find that in order to make it load-bearing wrapping the standing end of the cordage around the cross-sections in a "God's-Eye" fashion a few times then securing it with a Reef, Granny, or Surgeon's Knot does the trick.
